I spoke to Hugo: a poem
Behind closed doors, Ive grown up so fast
through the midst of turbulence, deep scars of my past
Ready to move forward, anticipating the thrill of my race
never looking back, ignoring who was assigned to my case
I spoke to Hugo last week, we chatted for a brief time
he said "Whitney, you are at the beginning of your prime"
I never thought that I would be in such a place
standing at the behest to co-navigate the space
Im becoming more interesting, I am shocked at who I see
the family I have is growing, they know who I am to be
Hugo said it best and I wont argue nor disagree
"Whitney, its time to walk in who God called you to be"
